We are always seeking to recruit talented and highly motivated graduate students and post-docs who wish to study and work with digital technologies and predictive analytics methods with emphasis on the optimization of farm management decisions and automated measurement of novel and hard-to-measure traits for animal breeding purposes. Graduate students will receive training in data analytics and machine learning, with particular emphasis on dairy cattle applications. See the Department of Animal and Dairy Science for guidance on the admission process.
Our lab welcomes prospective candidates with background in one or more of the following areas: deep learning, hyperspectral imaging, robotics, machine vision, statistical genetics and/or computational genomics.Successful candidates are expected to assist in conducting experiments, analyzing data, and publishing research findings. Additionally, they will support the training and mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students.
